Our Story

Grandpa CORRADO DAMIANI was the progenitor of a family of bakers, who started from a small bakery in the centre of Rome. Thanks to his skills as a worker and family educator, he had known how to transmit to his children the fundamental values necessary to maintain the high quality of their products over time.
The bakery in San Lorenzo, Rome, that supplied bread to the Italian troops on the Front, was destroyed during the bombings of 1944. In 1945, at the end of the war, everything had to be reconstructed and Grandpa Corrado saw the chance to expand his horizons; he purchased new spaces and new machinery and undertook the production of the famous "Focacce (flat bread) alla Romana".
Creator of genuine, homemade recipes, he started by distributing his products in the regional area. His great success with consumers, who began to appreciate and recognise the quality of Damiani products, allowed him to expand distribution throughout the country.
